How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign works through a series of custom-made clear aligners, each one shifting your teeth incrementally until they reach their final position. Each aligner is worn for one to two weeks before you progress to the next in the sequence. They come out completely for eating, drinking and brushing –  no dietary restrictions, no brackets, no wires.

Treatment typically takes 6–18 months depending on your case. As a Diamond Apex provider we treat the full range –  from mild crowding to complex bite corrections that many practices won’t take on. What does Diamond Apex provider status mean?

Diamond Apex is the highest tier in Align Technology’s provider programme, awarded based on cases completed per year and clinical outcomes. Fewer than 1% of practices in Europe hold this status. In practical terms it means our clinicians treat Invisalign at a volume and complexity level most practices never reach –  including cases that other providers may decline or refer on.
The three packages correspond to case complexity. Lite is for mild crowding of the front teeth, small gaps or a mild overbite. Moderate covers mild to moderate crowding of the front 6–8 teeth and mild bite corrections. Comprehensive is for more significant crowding, larger bite corrections, rotations or complex overbite cases. We’ll confirm which applies at your free consultation.
Most patients experience mild pressure when they start a new set of aligners –  this is normal and settles within a day or two. It’s generally much less than with traditional fixed braces, and there are no brackets or wires to cause irritation.
Treatment typically takes 12–18 months depending on your case. At your free consultation we’ll give you a specific estimate based on your 3D scan and treatment plan.
Yes –  many patients combine Invisalign with composite bonding or teeth whitening for a complete smile transformation. Whitening is included as standard in all three of our Invisalign packages.
